About the Role
Busy Family Practice looking for someone with advanced customer service skills, experience dealing with Insurance eligibility, workers comp claims, scheduling and collections.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as necessary
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized
Skills:
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to handle multiple phone lines and operate phone systems effectively
- Familiarity with managing medical records and maintaining confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
