We are thrilled to introduce Dr. Laura Bellstrom, a dedicated pediatrician whose diverse life experiences and passion for working with children make her an incredible asset to our community. Though Dr. Bellstrom was born in Colorado Springs, CO, she grew up in Townshend, Vermont, where she attended elementary school and began spending summers in West Dover, Vermont as a toddler. Laura's journey has taken her across the U.S., including living in Ohio, Idaho, Kentucky as a child, and later in North Carolina and Arizona, where she spent time on the Navajo Reservation as an adult. Her love for Vermont, however, came full circle as she made it her home.
When she is not caring for her patients, she enjoys an active lifestyle, which includes swimming, Nordic skiing, bike riding, walking, and hiking. She is also an avid reader and participates in a book group. Travel and exploring new places are important to her, as well as cooking and baking for her family and friends.
Dr. Bellstrom's passion for pediatrics shines through in her work. She deeply values the connections she forms with her patients and their families, and she cherishes the continuity of care that pediatrics offers-from newborns to young adults. "What I love most about my work is the ability to combine science and human service in a career," Laura shares. Her dedication to making a positive difference in children's lives is evident in her compassionate approach and her specialized areas of interest, including breastfeeding support, guidance for new parents, and advocacy for children with special or complicated health needs. She is also passionate about adolescent health care and works diligently to coordinate care for patients with complex medical needs.
Dr. Bellstrom's family is a key source of support and inspiration in her life and career. She credits her upbringing and the strength of her supportive family with shaping who she is today. She and her husband, Pat-who has also dedicated his career to children and adolescents in education-are proud parents to two amazing sons, Zach, and Conner. She hopes her patients and their families recognize the importance of a strong, supportive network, as she has experienced firsthand how such connections can positively influence health and well-being. She understands that these networks can take many different forms and values the unique ways in which each family or community provides support.

We are so excited to introduce Dr. Deanne Haag, a warm and dedicated pediatrician who has spent her career making a lasting impact on the lives of children and families. A proud native Vermonter, Dr. Haag grew up in picturesque Southern Vermont and has deep roots in the community. When she's not caring for her young patients, you can find her hiking, kayaking, and enjoying outdoor activities with her family and dog. She is also an avid reader and enjoys playing strategic board games with friends, finding these activities to be a great way to unwind and connect with others.
Dr. Haag's love for pediatrics runs deep, and she finds immense fulfillment in watching both kids and families grow and develop together. "I enjoy watching kids and families grow and develop together, and the unique perspectives they bring to my life," she says. Her work is centered on building meaningful relationships with families and creating a learning environment where both parents and children feel supported and empowered. The relationships she forms with families are at the core of her approach, and she values the mutual teaching and learning that comes with working closely with each unique family.
Dr. Haag has recently taken on a new role as a physician manager, where she is excited to work on improving the care and services the practice delivers. She is passionate about strengthening relationships with both families and community partners to better support the broader community. One of the highlights of her career at this stage is working with "second-generation" families-those whose parents she cared for as children-and witnessing how relationships and care evolve over time.
In her practice, she specializes in supporting new families and providing patient education, particularly around growth and development. She is deeply invested in promoting perinatal health and wellness and is a strong advocate for team-based care, recognizing the importance of collaboration in providing the best care possible for children. While she absolutely loves babies, she also takes great joy in watching them grow and thrive as they develop into healthy, independent individuals.
Families can rest assured that Dr. Haag is dedicated to improving care and services in the community and is committed to creating a positive, collaborative, and nurturing environment for both children and their families. She feels incredibly lucky to be part of this community and to have the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Haag! We are excited to see the continued positive impact she will make as she fosters healthy, strong families and supports the well-being of children in our community.

We are excited to introduce Dr. Jessica VanNostrand, a passionate pediatrician who has called Vermont home for the past six years. Originally from Northville, NY, nestled in the Adirondacks, she made the move to Vermont seeking a change of scenery and a fresh start. Over the years, she has embraced everything Vermont has to offer, from breathtaking hikes and skiing adventures to cultivating her own garden. Dr. VanNostrand is an avid reader who finds peace in the pages of a good book, and her love for the outdoors plays a big part in maintaining balance in her life.
In her professional role, she finds immense joy and fulfillment in her work. "I love to watch children grow up, develop new skills, and learn independence," she says, highlighting the core of her passion for pediatrics. She believes that "children are ever-changing and amazing," and working with them brings her daily joy. The laughter, energy, and love that children bring into her care fuel her commitment to making a positive impact on their lives. Dr. VanNostrand's approach is grounded in empathy and understanding, always focused on supporting kids as they navigate their growth and development.
She specializes in all types of pediatric pathology across all ages, with a particular interest in medically complex patients. She finds great reward in working with teenagers and watching them build their independence as they transition into young adulthood. Her goal is to equip her patients with the tools and confidence they need to take charge of their health and well-being.
Beyond her clinical expertise, she is deeply grateful for the opportunity to work in this community. She feels fortunate that families have welcomed her into their lives and trusted her with their children's care. Her dedication to supporting each child's unique journey and working collaboratively with families is what makes her approach so special.
We are thrilled to have Dr. VanNostrand as part of our community and can't wait to see the positive impact she continues to make in the lives of the children and families she serves.
